Farm Fields

Soooo.... We have no bread. There doesn't look like there's a lot forthcoming either as we've lost 14 wheat fields since Anto's last post and are now down to 5. Can we get a few people to swap to wheat for a cycle or three? I'm willing to bake, but there isn't really anything on the market to bake with. I'll be swapping myself at the next cycle (4 days).

No tax? Shouldn't the town be taxing a bit so it can upgrade the fields?

Yes, I can swap too, no worries, I have 3 harvests units to go, then can start a cycle.

No, we've never done a tax. Usually when we're going to upgrade a field, Anto and I save up our harvests and then donate them to the town for the upgrade. Occasionally if we're only short a few we'll buy them off the market to make up the difference. Hence why I have a pile of potatoes in my inventory right now

Looking at the town events for the past two weeks you can see there has been no bread sold to the town. With the 5 wheat fields we have, I think the issue might be one of profit. I think this problem might be solved simply by raising the town's buying price of bread (and possibly selling price to keep an income). Personally I'd rather see more potato or veggie fields, which could fill the market with more stat food variety.

I typically bake half of my harvest for my own bread supply and market the rest of the wheat and/or flour.

I've managed to put 110 bread on the market in the past couple days. Will be changing my field to wheat at next reset.
