Can't equip tools Empty Can't equip tools

I currently can't equip tools...I just got back from the Grail Moastery where I unequipped the tools I had with me and then tried to equip new ones - that didn't work which I assumed was because of the change that stops you switching armour while out of town. But now I am back in Sarmiz and still can't equip anything.
