Market and Taxes Empty Market and Taxes

Post by anto_capone Mon Nov 28, 2011 5:59 pm

Ok, a couple weeks in to the new market.

A lot of goods are selling for 200-500% of their 'old' value. This is fine, it is your right to make any price as you wish! Smile

I refuse to enact or even consider any legislation in regards to market control laws; but I will say this: do not be upset nor surprised when the financial power of the town is used to undercut your prices. I feel it a responsibility of the town to attempt to keep prices reasonable through competitive business practice.

About taxes:

I have set them to 4% for citizens and 8% for visitors. This may be revisited soon. The tax is not there to be a burden, rather, it is there to make sure the town can continue to be competitive as its own business entity.

If you have any thoughts, concerns, or questions; please do not hesitate to post here or send me a private message.

4% sounds fair to me for citizen. And visitors do have more expenses to the town Smile
