Spending Combat Skills
The current system of spending Combat Skill Points is a pretty complex one.
You have to spend at least 5 points on other combat skills before you can place another point on the same combat skill again. I did this because I don't want to have a 100% swordfighter who can't do anything else then that.
I would change the current system into a less complex way of dealing with the skills. Instead of having to place at least 5 points on other skills your skill never can be higher then your current combat level. This will make it more easy for us all I think and still have the same effect, that combat skills will be spread more even.
When I code the new system, all combat skills might be reset, so that everybody can replace their own combat skills again.
Just was curious how others think about this?
Suggestions that drop any restriction, and just allow to put any number on one skill right away are not exactly what I'm looking for here.

All I hope for is that such resets are given as other skills are implemented. There's no point in going for Swordfighting right now with no Swords in the game etc.

I think it'd be better if you could specialize more, maybe like your combat lvl X 2 as a limit, but that might be just me .

I would think, based on everything I've seen thus far, yes, 100 as in 100%, Can't do better than that.

Which be impossible to attain under our current system. It already takes 5400 exp just to reach level 6, which allows you a max of 8 on 5 skills. So you need to be level 98 to reach 100 in 5 stats and I doubt anyone can reach that. I wouldn't object to more skillpoints

Well, once duels, brigands, and armies are coded, hopefully there will be a large experience gain for winning in battles. Also, perhaps some quests, once completed, will contain experience boosts

This wouldn't really affect me, there are only so many non-weapon combat skills although I suppose if the weapon I am interested in is totally worthless I might want to change then. Seems like a good way to do things though.
