will the council members please vote on this?

Law about the enforcement and introduction of laws

1.Laws will be voted and enforced by the council
1.1.all council members, including the town leader has a say and a vote on every law

2.Passed laws must be enforced, and followed by the council and the population of the city they belong to
2.1.any civilian must report any law breakers to the council

3.Laws passed can only be removed by a vote, however this law can only be changed
3.1.With the expection of 1 and 1,1
3.2.Laws can only be removed if 66% of the council aproved

4.Laws can include almost everything
4.1.with the exception of the impossible

5.Anybody can propose a law
5.1.Civilians must gain support of a minimum of 5 other civilians before it can be proposed to the council

Notes about the law:
This law has to enforce the democratic existence of the council and town
Civilians are people not in the council, includes every grail seeker of legal age

Experience teaches me that (ingame) laws are only usefull when:

1- you have ingame tools to punish the guilty ones
2- you have ingame tools to overthrow the seating gouverment

I will take this to the council, but I don't see any reason yet to support this act.

Like Nogwa just said, the ingame system will not enforce such laws in any way.

If the town wants such laws then this is fine by me. However this game is NOT a democratic game.

First of all The Grail Lords have absolute power, they are not bound to any laws except those who are in the Grail Code (Tos).
Second, unlike other games (Renaissance Kingdom for example) towns will not be ruling players life. I prefer a 'clan system' where the clan/town only succeeds if there is team work within the town. If this goes with laws, fine for me. If they use another way, also good. But if a town is really bad Seekers will have the option to leave their town and join another town. This is not possible yet, cause a town with less then 20 people doesn't work very wel.

I also heared suggestions about courts and such. I can tell you I won't work with that. I will make sure that a town council can't pick on a player for ingame actions. ^^
