Realm Event: Spring is Coming
Dear Seekers,
About a year ago we hat the first "Spring is Coming" event and it could be considered as a success! So this year we do it again
On Sunday our "Spring is Coming" event starts! This event will last for exactly one week!
Just like last year this is a true fighting event were all Seekers fight a horde of Winter Bandits.
The goal is to let your town win, so try to work together. The town who loses this event will be forced to either pay the bandits 3 gold or the bandits burn down one of the Town Workshops to the ground!
How to play?
When the event starts you will see a link to the fighting page where you can attack the Winter Bandits. Each attack requires 10 stamina. The damage you deal depends on your Combat Skills, your Strength, Agility and Speed. During each attack you can find something. This most likely is money or tokens but it can be also an ingredient, food, an item or even Honor! During this event you can't die! However you can lose Life-points, as the bandits fight back.
Grail Blessing:
Like last year you also can find Grail Blessings, those Blessings increase all the damage dealt by you and your fellow citizens with 1% during the event and also once the event ends. You also can donate Tokens to increase the Grail Blessing for your town further.
Changes with last year's Spring is Coming:
- The cost to increase the town blessing is lowered from 5 Tokens to 4 Tokens this year.
- The losing town doesn't lose a Farm field upgrade this time but has to pay either 3 Gold or lose a Workshop.
- The Grail Blessing is not limited to one, you can find multiple Grail Blessings during this event.
- There are more and new prizes to be gained while attacking the Winter Bandits.
Prizes:
- The two Seekers who did the most damage to the Bandits will receive a new unique piece of Equipment. (note: NOT 2 in each town, but 2 winners in total).
- There will be a special prize for the two Seekers who did the most damage and has a Combat level lower then 13.
- There will be a special prize for the Seeker who did the most damage and arrived in 2016.
- Many treasures can be found while attacking the Winter Bandits.
We made this announcement already to give you the chance to leave some feedback.

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
Are the towns competing against each other, or just against the bandits?

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
The bandits will raid the town who does the least damage to them, so they do compete against each-other.
Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
*Sigh* First of all, that makes no sense. Why is it pre-determined that the bandits will win against one of the towns? Realistically thinking, would it not make more sense for the towns to cooperate so that the bandits are beaten and neither town would have to suffer? I mean, if one or both of the towns don't fight hard enough, fine, the bandits get loot, but there should be a chance to completely repel the bandits if both towns manage to deal a certain amount of damage.
Secondly, it's the same old complaint: The fighting strength of the towns is radically unbalanced, Spero will easily win, so what's the point? If this keeps up, I'll move to Spero, since you seem to constantly favour that town.

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
i dont think he favours one town over the other its not his fault spero is more warrior minded.
-also im sure spero would welcome a alchmiest such as yourself with open arms

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
By giving us events, one after another, which punish Camaar for the fact that it's weaker, and rewards Spero for having stronger fighters, I can only deduce that he's biased. It would be a simple matter to modify this event so that it's not a competition between towns, which would make the event more fun and meaningful. I'm fine with rewarding the strongest fighters for their hard work, but it gets a bit frustrating when the entire town of Camaar is beaten over and over again about the fact that we don't happen to have as many or as strong fighters. It's a fact not easily changed, unless we can bribe Apoc to fight for us for a change, lol.
If ever a time comes when the difference is no longer overwhelming, I'll welcome another competitive event as a trial. The founding of a third town may bring that change, provided that several strong fighters move there (otherwise the new town would be at a distinct disadvantage). Until we reach a point where the winner isn't clear from the get go, there is no point to competitive town vs. town events.
That said, 3 gold shouldn't be such a big money for a town. It's just frustrating how this happens over and over again, even tohugh we all know the results from the start.

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
Of course you have. But one of your top 3 switching sides would single-handedly make enough difference to make it interesting again, at least based on the last few competitive town vs. town events.

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
We had an event that strongly favored farming and ranching, which was Camaar's strength. We happened to win through sabotage.
I do think having such a penalty for losing is a little harsh. I agree that it would be better if towns could reach a certain milestone of damage to ward off the bandits, with the winning town receiving a prize rather than the losing town getting a penalty.
That said, you're about to get my mace in yo face.

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
Ugh, don't remind me, I'm still p***ed off that such a large lead could be undone in a matter of moments by a single thief. And I suppose he wasn't even punished for what I can only imagine was an unlawful deed...

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
Am I correct in assuming that the actual damage you manage to put out doesn't matter if you don't qualify for any of the 5 prizes?
As in my case I know my town will lose and I don't qualify for any of the prizes so I'll just hit it for the random prizes for each hit. I'm wondering if my damage affects this is any way.

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
we had everything on the list besides the mushrooms before a few of your theives hit us but its all fair since it was part of the game. one of our bests thieves bought up a bunch of stamina potions from people in town and went buck wild on your butt near the end allowing you no recope time ps you guys still got rewarded for that. but only half reward so theres no issue there,

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
The damage you deal adds up to your town total. The random prizes that can be found and gained are not damage based. The chances to get something nice is equal for everybody and does not get affected by whatever damage deal, skills you have or pretty looks you are born with.
Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
It's a shame there's no bonus for pretty looks. I'd be in full grail armor by the end

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
I agree with Aaron that both Towns together should aim for a Damage placed by Aro.
I do more concern of the way to do such Damages.I dont like just pushin a Button to kill an Enemy,i like the fighting that goes the normal way,for example advance to the enemy and have more Tactics to use as it is(like movin one Step back).
I have no Prob to pay 10 Stam for a Fight, but I have a Prob beeing Lvl 22(and worked tactical pretty hard for it) and only the max Strength counts most for the Damage done.
All benefits for beeing high Lvl(better Hit Ration,Tougher Skin and so on) are useless in this Event,so me and my Sweetie Moon wouldnt participate.
I am pretty sure that beeing a high Lvl Warrior means nothing in here, especially for Events.Last Event even a Lvl 8 Warrior beats me cause he had more Strength due to Meat Soup or else for Strength increase.
I was 4 times tougher and 2 times harder than he and i still lost.
That p...es me off, working hard for an aim and it means nothing.

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
You still have the chance to gain many prizes, Pelarn. It's definitely worth participating in. Even winning 1 honor during the event would be worth it alone. Also, your combat skills, as well as agility and speed will help in the battle.
The damage you deal depends on your Combat Skills, your Strength, Agility and Speed.

Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
After much consideration we decided to give the two Seekers of each town who did the most damage a prize.
Re: Realm Event: Spring is Coming
Ok Helfdane you are possible right. We both will help that Spero doesnt have to pay the 3 Gold penalty.
