There was an issue with the Regeneration Skill. That has been fixed.
Regeneration Skill gives now 1 Life-point back for each 4 points on the Regeneration Skill.

Is this why I'm now not recovering even that 1 daily hp that I used to get before? :/ Feels a bit harsh.

Eh, that explains it I guess. I do worry though that I am now going to be trapped in the Grail Monastery for the best part of a week waiting to recover life points if I get caught by a particularly nasty baddie on the way to turning in a weekly errand.

During the Reset you receive back:
+ 1 life standard (true, I forgot that, this is why everybody gained +10 life for next reset).
+ 1 life * blanket quality (so cheap gives +1, grail gives + 6).
+ 1 life * Hospital upgrade (only when actually laying in the hospital).
+ 1 life * (Regeneration Skill/4) (this got recently changed, because the skill became to powerful).
