Dear Seekers,

A new Tutorial Quest became available today in your Quest Book!
The Quest is specially meant for new Seekers and handles about the Town Ranches and keeping animals.

A special thanks to our sympathetic Forum Manager Airy who completely wrote the quest!
Thanks to her work, Porkard the Pig Tendere became alive!

You also might notice that the different Quests are more structured now in your Quest Book. There are the tutorial Quests, the repeatable Quests and the more advanced Quests or Grail Quests.

Like always, feedback, bug reports and additional suggestions are appreciated!

Enjoy the new Quest!

Congrats Smile Good improvement on the quest front!

I have a doubt, cause I'm always full of them... Apparently I may have to accept a chicken that is one week left... Didn't go past this stage because my ranch already has a chicken with 18 days, so I'm unsure what will happen, since I don't have any room left for more chicken.

Now If you've covered this situation (which you most likely did), there should be something in the quest saying "if you already have a chicken, nothing will happen to her, you can accept this one", so that the seekers can advance without that doubt.

If you didn't, please check it out Very Happy Let me know so I can proceed!

If you have no room for another animal in the ranch. The quest is on hold. You can pick up the quest again any-time whenever you created space in your ranch.

If you have multiple expansions on your ranch and more animals already, then you can still do the quest, however if you find yourself in such a situation, it proves you already know how to handle animals at the ranch & the quest should be a piece of cake.

I definitely like the grouping of the quests between tutorial, repeating, and grail quests. I'll let you know how I get on with my first chicken tomorrow...

Big step forward, +1 Airy. cheers

One problem though, people only start with one ranch slot, and in the quest it tells them they start with three. Tutorial stuff that isn't correct will send a new player crazy trying to figure out what is wrong.

Also, I need to add, with Aro's reported(I haven't seen it myself) draconic reactions to cursing in the tavern, even if masked using curses such as "SJIT" does give way to giving this behavior as ok. Everyone knows what it is, changing one letter in my personal opinion doesn't make it better but it does work for some people, but it's not a good example. *shrug*

I'm pretty sure everyone starts with a standard 3 spots. I've always had 3 and I've never done anything to it...

In the past people started with 3 ranches. This has been changed recently. I'll see this gets adjusted.

I can't find anywhere in the quest where this is stated...

Your kidding, I remember it was blue text, but I swear I read that somewhere in there. If we could look though the quests after we had done them I'd look though it for you(actually would have told you where it was to begin with.)

A Chicken appeared at your ranch. You can hold 1 animal in each Ranch slot you have (you currently have 3 Ranch slots). You need to feed your animals on a daily base. This requires 1 stamina for each animal. Your animals will die if they don\'t get fed regular.

You mean this?!

It says "you" so in "your" case "you" have 3 indeed. Wink
But it never said they start with three, it only displays how many ranch slots the seeker has.

Ahh, please forgive me, I thought that was a hard coded message, not one that actually had a script to return the amount of ranch slots the quester actually has. Sorry about that.

I had wanted to go back and look at that before I commented, but alas, can not. May I suggest considering putting on the low priority list the ability to read though a completed quest line?

I think that's a good idea, I'll put it on the list and see how hard it would be to do so Smile
