Play or don't play Udgar
Took me awhile to realize, I don't know why, but it costs you 5 bronze to play Udgar but only 3 bronze goes into the pool. It's a pure money sink, and your chances of winning are almost none. Since there isn't a ton of cash floating around now anyways, I would suggest all players avoid it. You'll hurt the economy with every play. Your town needs books, structures, etc..

Re: Play or don't play Udgar
It goes back and forth between 3 bronze and 4 bronze into the pool.
The Lottery I can understand a % being held back, since it goes to the town. But it is a waste if it is just going to the void.
Time for me to pull out my stats textbook.
Assuming each of the 5 cards has an equal chance of appearing, the probability of drawing 5 Udgars is 1/5*1/5*1/5*1/5*1/5 or 1/3125.

Yeah, I think a more slots style game would be more fun, with chances to win lesser prizes and such. But, I think the best thing would be to have a card game between players which they can make wagers on, like poker, but it'd be cool to have a new card game.

Re: Play or don't play Udgar
Some might have spend their entire life-savings on "Lucky Udgar" and be dead poor now, but I'm sure others will be grateful for the richly filled Jackpot.
Take in consideration nobody is forced to play or not to play. Gambling is a selfish profession, who cares what happens to the world, all what matters is you winning those coins!
In addition some facts:
- 1.5 bronze from the 5 is for the house. The other 70% goes into the Jackpot.
- The Jackpot always starts with 10 silver.
- Everybody has an equal chance to win. There are no Skills involved.
- The game got played about 3000 times and generated 3 winners.
- The money "drained" from Lucky Udgar is currently about +10 silver.

Re: Play or don't play Udgar
The odds to win should be shown by the "Let's Play" button, such as it is on scratch-off or lottery tickets
You should consider making it more like slots, though, it'd be much more fun Instead of losing every time there would be much better odds to win, even if winning is less than you gambled... Udgar's face could still be the jackpot.

I wouldn't mind it if the proceeds went to your town. But I won't play it, because it doesn't fund anything.

Well like everything else in the game it is your choice. You have the ability to play it or not play it. Its just an option for people that want to do something else.

I agree, it would be nice with smaller prizes for other combinations. If people win 5 silver they are more likely to forget the fact they already spent 10 silver and keep playing
