Crazy, crazy. But entertaining.

Post by Helfdane on Thu Feb 23, 2012 1:03 am

So..... this is going to be long, but entertaining. Warning; a bit of harsh language.

Just caught on video my neighbor intentionally hitting my car with his because I parked in "his" parking spot. I got it from the moment he parked and opened his doors into mine, to him backing out and then swiping the side of my car. I even went out onto the balcony and caught him confessing to it.

I call the police and they come out and watch the video. The whole time this guy is saying the whole thing never happened....as the officer is watching it happen on video. There was fresh white paint (the color of his car) on my car which I wiped off with my finger....still denying it ever happened.

The guy then threatens to kick my ass (he is 91 years old..) and steps at me like he's going to hit me. Then he says I have glasses so he wont'. So, I put my glasses on my car and say "There you go. Have at it." lol

Anyways, while the officer is outside taking pictures the old man and his wife tell my wife and I to go back to our own country, and said we were both illegal. I said the old man looks Polish and asked for his greencard. They continue to call my wife and I illegal and I say "Fuck you." to them, and tell the old man he's probably going to die in prison.....So, the old man insists the officer issue a citation against ME for disturbing the peace.... The guy just racially slurred my wife, and for my defense of her he's going to press charges? No judge or court in this world would take his side on that. I'm going to turn it into a hate crime and let him take some federal charges over it.

They also, months ago, called child protective services on us. They left a business card in our door....we don't have children. I am going to see if there is a record of what number is filed in the report for who reporting the child abuse, and get him on filing a false report. Then, I'm going to press for a disturbing the peace citation against HIM for throwing racial slurs at me and my wife in the hallway. I'll subpoena the neighbors if I have to. The man is so full of lies it's ridiuclous. He claimed we've only been in this apartment for 2 months (we've been here since last June) and then later claimed we've been here for 4 months. All in front of the officer. The guy has already killed his character in court.

But what really chaps my ass is....really, I got to pay a fine for saying "Fuck you"? Is Freedom of Speech completely gone in this country? What about the people on TV who curse each other? The celebrity interviews of people saying shit to other people? What about the columnist who calls a public figure an idiot/etc.? So if I call a serial killer or a child pornographer a sick mother fucker, am I going to get a citation? So, what I get from this, is if somebody offends me in any way, I can get a citation against them for "disturbing the peace"? BS. That law is so vague it can mean ANYTHING.

Any self-respecting man would defend his wife being racially slurred. I honestly am ashamed to be an American right now, if defending your wife's integrity is illegal.

In Missouri, I can use physical force to protect my property. I could have legally ran out of my apartment and pinned that old man to the pavement the moment he started hitting my car with his car doors. But, I didn't. I remained calm, and I called the police.

Everything I did tonight was either to defend my property or my wife's honor. I am NOT wrong in this, and I have zero faith in the justice system if they actually make me pay a dime in citation or court fee's. I will write the local newspapers and my congressman that a judge found me guilty for saying "Fuck you" to a man who just racially slurred my wife. I guess it all depends if the judge is a decent human being, or a redneck country boy.

Haha, I just used the first European country to pop into mind. Since my wife must be illegal because she is Thai, I asked him for his green card since he looks European.

Yea, he ran into the car. I have another video of him slamming his car doors into my car.

Your disturbing the peace charge is likely the equivalent to a disorderly conduct charge where I live. They can throw those charges out like nothing, in your own home or in public, for being unreasonably loud, profane language or signs, or any conduct that in the cops own opinion may have provoked a disturbance.

But.. luckily just because you get a ticket doesn't mean you have to pay it Razz Go to your initial court appearance and plead not guilty, they'll likely reduce or drop the charges right then! The DA reviews the case and if they don't think they have a good chance to get you convicted they'll drop the charges because court is expensive. Also, you don't have to pay court costs unless you are convicted or plead guilty.

I am going to fight it absolutely. The peace was disturbed when this guy blared his horns and then rammed my vehicle, followed by racially intimidating my wife in the hallway. I did not disturb the peace.

I caused NO trouble. We had our backs to them walking up the staircase when they threw that bigotry at my wife.

I don't believe any court could charge people in the receiving end of racial intimidation ( a hate crime) with defending themselves against it. I'm going to contact the FBI about the racial intimidation.

Well they can charge you with anything, they won't convict you though. Idk about charging a 91 year old guy with a hate crime though lol I think taking away his driving license would be good.

Another bit to add:

We still have the lease on our old apartment till the end of the month, yet the landlord has gone into our apartment and thrown our food out of our fridge, and also turned on the heat and used our electricity (which is still under our name until tomorrow) to use the vacuum cleaner/etc. to clean the apartment with.

I called her on the phone and she offered to send me a check....I asked for much less than I should have.

It seems I am always fighting with people trying to screw me over. If it's not a crazy old man and his racist women giving me problems, it's a landlord, or a utility company cashing my check and then claiming it never arrived. Or whatever. It seems everyone I have contact with is either a fool, a criminal, or just stupid.

Seen this before, the 'good guy' justifying himself so he can be a 'bad guy'. Goodluck and fight it. 91 or not, if he can think he has the right to do whatever he likes, because if a perceived injustice, then he deserves to have someone stand up to him and feel the full effects of his wrong doing. I hope at the end of the day, that he can complain that the courts were nothing but Illegal-loving-bastards. who side with everyone else but him. ^^ (not that your illegal, but I bet thats what he is going to say, when the courts charge him. Razz)

I dont think we have any laws over in Australia, or any that are used anyway, that mean that you cant yell abuse. Its only when it gets physical, I think, that it becomes an issue. And even then, we've learnt not to take the law into our own hands, had you of gone out and pinned him down then you'd be slapped with a huge fine for it, though. Ridonculous.
