Farming Guide Fields

Seekers can cultivate more land and obtain many fields. They can have as many fields as they need, but the requirements will become higher after each field that has been set fit for agriculture.

Eg: 2nd field would require 8 units of cultivation, 3rd field requires 27 units of cultivation, etc.

___________________

Different skills when working on a farm field:

With farming you have 5 different skills to be increased from it, no matter what the farm/field is.

Skills
1. Cultivation skill (Required to cultivate a new land)
2. Ploughing skill (you need a plough for this)
3. Sowing skill
4. Harvesting skill
5. The overall Farming skill (which increases with every successful harvest).

Notes :
- Farming skill raises by 1 point per successful harvest
- Cultivation depends upon the labourer skill
- An Uncultivated field needs to be cultivated only once. (after that it becomes a normal field)
- To work in any of the skill areas from 1 to 4 you will use 40 stamina with 1 skill and decrease the stamina needed by 1 point with every 5 full skill points.

________________________________________________

For the complete updated production of each field:

Corn Field:
Base Production: 10-15
Bonus For Farming: +1/10%
Bonus for Field Upgrade: +2

Grape Field:
Base Production: 10-15
Bonus For Farming: +1/10%
Bonus for Field Upgrade: +2

Hop Field:
Base Production: 15-20
Bonus For Farming: +1/10%
Bonus for Field Upgrade: +2

Potato Field:
Base Production: 10-15
Bonus For Farming: +1/10%
Bonus for Field Upgrade: +2

Vegetable Field:
Base Production: 10-15
Bonus For Farming: +1/10%
Bonus for Field Upgrade: +2

Wheat Field:
Base Production: 15-20
Bonus For Farming: +1/10%
Bonus for Field Upgrade: +2
_________________________________________________

Yield

The yield of a farm depends on
1. The base field production
2. Your Farming Skill (higher Skill increases amount of goods you get from your field after harvesting.)
3. Town field upgrade

Wheat as an example:
Random gains vary from 15 to 20*.
+ 1 extra for each 10 points on farming skill.
+ 2 extra for each town field upgrade in the right culture.

So if you have 1 farming skill and town field upgrade is level 3. Then you will get between 21-26 wheat (15-20 + 0 + 6)

*the random gains for other Fields are as above.

Farming skill seems to increase by 1 point with each successful harvest. Plus you can also increase this skill by working for the town when it upgrades its feild productions. (wrong info, see next post).

Obviously the more skill you have the better your harvest is.

Your Farming Skill increases 1 point with every successful harvest indeed. A higher Farming Skill will increase the amount of goods you get from your field after harvesting.
However working for the town doesn't affect your Farming Skill as far I can see.

Oh...hmm... well it affected something, was a long time ago.., I worked on the wheat culture upgrade, what does that effect then? And Ive been searching all over for where I saw what the harvest yield count is for the fields as opposed to your farming level...cept I got distracted by going to sleep. ^^ I'll keep hunting it down, I know it was somewhere is Spero...*heads off*...

According to Anto, the random gains for other Fields are 7-10. I assume the rest works the same.

mmhmm you should. *says without a worry that she is ever going to pay*

Probably could add to this guide for the newbies:

From farming you have 4 different skills to be increased from it, no matter what the farm/field is.

You have
1. Ploughing skill (you need a plough for this)
2. Sowing skill
3. Harvesting skill
4. and the over all Farming skill (which increases as said above with every successful harvest).

To work in any of the skill areas from 1 to 3 you will use 40 stamina with 0 skill and decrease the stamina needed by 1 point with every 5 full skill points.

Can someone confirm if base production = level 1 or not? All fields start at level 1, and it says +2 per upgrade; so if you do 1 upgrade is it +2 or +4?

Thanks

Farmers get +2 for each field upgrade the town has.

If the town has lvl 1 it means they get +2 extra.
If the town has lvl 2 it means they get +4 extra.

Towns do start at lvl 0 with the field upgrades.

So for Spero this means
:
Corn Culture is at level 3 + 6 corn each harvest.
Hop Culture is at level 2 + 4 hop each harvest.

Potato Culture is at level 2 + 4 potatoes each harvest.

Vegetable Culture is at level 1 + 2 Vegetables each harvest.

Wheat Culture is at level 3 + 6 wheat each harvest.

Grapes Culture is at level 1 + 2 grapes each harvest.

Cool, its a bit confusing reading it as one would assume the 'base' is without modifications.

But hey, I'm not going to complain about it. Razz

Sorry, just to clear it up... What are the exact consequences of the penalty in the second, third field... etc etc (I don't know the maximum number)

Is it an increase in all 5 stages? Just in one...? How does that work?

There are no penalties, the more fields you have the harder it gets to cultivate another field. And each field requires time and work.
