Re: Farm Fields

Thanks, and tbh, I think you should open your field back up, as one of the few veg fields left in town.

At least for the data! Smile

anyways:

Culture In use Taxation Upgrade Progress
Corn 5 0% 1 100%
Hop 1 0% 1 100%
Potatoe 0 0% 1 100%
Vegetable 2 0% 1 100%
Wheat 8 0% 1 100%

This is what we have. too much corn, we don't need corn until the town can afford to take an expense that is pigs. We are close.

Point is, corn is useless right now. Its only good for pigs, we can't even eat it. Potatoes are a good choice for a miner, eating potatoes builds resistance. We have 0 potato fields, and almost 1/3 of our town fields are corn, well, it makes no sense.

Luckily, it doesn't cost you anything to change the culture of your field, just do it after you complete and receive your harvest. Otherwise, you will either keep your useless corn; or, have something economically viable to sell. Smile

i'm mass mailing this to all, and posting this on the forum so all can react and respond. we are growing slowly, but surely. Our town is doing quite well. Smile

Potatoes raises Endurance, Milk raises Resistance.

I'll run my field if I can break even on it Smile I'll put up wages that allow it and see if anyone takes it. For now we still have 5 Veggies on the market and the Town wasn't buying more last time I checked.

Hmm... The last numbers Lord Arogandor gave me were a base change from 20-30 to 14-20. This means you are supposed to get 14-20 (random) + 1 per 5% Farming skill + 1 per town wheat upgrade.

With Anto's skills, he always has an addition of 6 (5 for Farming skill and 1 for town upgrade) so he could easily have gotten 16 from his harvest and then 6 from skill and upgrade to equal 22.

However, Airy you should not have a bonus yet other than the town upgrade and your maximum harvest by those numbers should be 21. I guess I'll mail Lord Arogandor and see if he changed the coding again.

Hello hard working peasants.

Here is some additional and (currently) correct info.

Random gains vary from 14 to 20.
+ 1 extra for each 10 points on farming skill (not 5).
+ 2 extra for each town field upgrade in the right culture (not 1).

I hope this helps you out a little. If not please let me know Very Happy Cause I appriciate your help Very Happy

Culture In use Taxation Upgrade Progress
Corn 8 0% 1 100%

Hop 1 0% 1 100%

Potatoe 5 0% 1 100%

Vegetable 5 0% 1 100%

Wheat 9 0% 2 100%

As we can see from the table, it would seem a lot of new people are taking up corn fields. I am going to send out a mail encouraging them to switch to wheat and take advantage of the benefits of upgraded wheat production. Smile

When you get a new Field, it's automatically set to Corn. That would explain it.

Not knowing any better when I started, I read the town message board, and thought you wanted me to run corn for one cycle before switching to something else. You can switch it over before doing anything, and no point to corn yet.

I figured out from day one, when reading the forums, that a field was not viable. I have just been sowing fields and upping my horse attitude everyday. 2 labour units, 20 stamina on horse attitude. I make about a silver a day. Very Happy It is working well so far.

I don't think working on horses is a good way to get horse attitude. I think it's better to get a horse first then train em each day. You get .5 skill for 50 stamina.
