Platform, Questions and Answers
(I wasn't sure where to post this, being that the elections are for two towns and this forum is for Hrabrost. But here it is for now!)
I will use this thread to expand on the ideas and proposals hinted to in the platform already set forth. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to post here and I will respond to you as soon as possible!
Thanks, and Have Fun!
Greetings, Fellow Grail Seekers!
Much can be said of the growth that we have seen of late. A lot of new faces have joined us from other realms, and with this growth comes new opportunity and responsibilities along with new challenges.
We can all mutually benefit from the economic and social implications of having a new town, and as a Town Leader my first priority would be to assist the growth of new seekers. This means a well stocked Soup Kitchen, and a market that balances supply and demand well enough for our seekers to benefit from the resources and treasury of the town.
The profits of the town should be directly invested in our seekers to see them grow. A rich and wealthy town does no one any good if people are struggling to sell their goods on an overcrowded market!
But enough about economy for now, more detailed plans for the economy will be laid out in public (forum).
The best way to promote growth is activity! An active tavern life, celebrations, and friendly competitions will help bring people closer together and instill a sense of pride within the community. Fun is a contagious concept, and with some imagination it is an activity we can all enjoy together!
Think of Jousts, Duels, Feasts, Music, Dancing, and of course: Expeditions in search of the Grail! All this, sponsored and paid for by your Town!
I'd like to thank all of you for giving me your time and consideration in this upcoming election! If you would like more information, a platform (on the forum) will soon open where you can find more information or even ask me questions yourself!
For the Grail!

Re: Platform, Questions and Answers
A little about myself:
I arrived to this realm nearly a year ago, and with the help of Bandalf the Wise I was able to find my way to prosperity. With the help of friends and of my fiance, ArcaneJill, I have over time gained a good amount of wealth, and use this wealth as an opportunity to help others with good paying labor and cheap meals at the bistro, and also donations of potions to the hospitals and bread to the soup kitchen.
I am an advanced fisherman, and I would like to think I am the most skilled fisherman in the realm. I am also an advanced carpenter, able to make expert products; and I am an advanced cook.
I have a large amount of food stored at my residence, which I save in case of hard economic times, people will always have something to eat if I have the wood and wool to make a fishing rod!
I enjoy explorations, and celebrations; I hope one day soon to find the Grail and with it throw the largest party ever!
I will be moving to the new town once it is created, and hope to help establish good trade and a strong foundation there.
I look forward to working with you all, win or lose!

Re: Platform, Questions and Answers
My Lord,
I have two questions for you. First, Lord Aro has said that the Town Leaders shall be free to run their town as they see fit. There will be no need for town council, if I read his announcement correctly. Is it your intention to rule singly, or would you still advocate for town councils to assist in the varied functions of town governance? Second, do you have a preference on which town you would prefer to lead?
Thank you.
Bows and awaits the reply.

Great questions, thanks!
A town's greatest resource is it's people. Anyone who wants to help, should be given the chance to. A town council is only one of the things I will utilize as a town leader; for example, I am looking to create a mentor program to assist new players. Bandalf is wise and indeed extremely helpful, but even he does not have all the time to answer everyone's questions!
Town Council, and more. More people helping = more progress made.
I would prefer to lead the new town when it is created. Hrabrost is a great place to live, but I wish to make some drastic changes and to implement many new ideas; sometimes people get 'set in their ways' and so I feel it would be easier to start fresh, and then use the raw data as a side by side comparison, and have competition between the towns!
Re: Platform, Questions and Answers
As part of the election celebration, there are some very cheap fish meals being made available at the bistro. For the price of purchasing a single raw fish off the market, you can have a cooked dinner of two fish!
I plan to continue stocking these meals for all for the next few days.
Have fun!

*Curtsies low*
Greetings My Lord,
First of all I think it truly wonderful to see you enthusiastic about wanting to lead the new town. I'm far too new to ask any meaningful questions. But it would be indeed wonderful to look between both towns and see the differences. So I'm mostly inclined to vote for you on that alone, to see the different economic and social models working.
The fish meal was also an excellent incentive . I was my first fishy meal ever so thanks for that.
But the most important thing I find myself saying to you today is this...I'm sure in an announcement about the elections that Lord Arogandor said that the winner out of the two leaders with the most votes will be assigned Town Leader to Hrabrost. I cant find that announcement again, to see if its already been cleared up. If not, it seems you might have a good chance at winning the most votes from the people Ive spoken to at anyrate..and from your words here, your not going to want to win Hrabrost.

I am glad you liked the meals, they seem to be selling as fast as I can cook them!
I'll be cooking more daily to keep up with the celebration.
I'm not exactly sure how Aro wants to work it, but I am sure good things will happen with whatever he decides.

Did want to ask, do you suppose I'm too young to move to the other town? As in, will Aro have a rule for that do you think

Re: Platform, Questions and Answers
Arogandor has no rules about this. Everybody will be able to change no matter your age.
In addition, new Grail Seekers will have the option to choose in wich town they prefer to start.
