[ORP] Joshua Norton's Home Thread

Post by Joshua Norton on Mon Jan 09, 2017 4:54 am

Joshua arrives in Sarmiz farthest location up North as he could find civilization and smiles as this is where he will live the life of his choosing and not one he had be born into. Time will tell How he will fare on his own though not really as he could not escape his parents reach no matter how hard he tried or went they would find him but they promised to let him find his own way in life and write is own book of life as he chose though he would be required to sign or place his signet ring on a shipment sent every month to prove he still was alive and well enough to accept it.

But Sarmiz would never know who he was or from where he hailed and a fresh start is exactly what he wanted. To be the author of his own book of life so the adventure and chapters will begin.

Joshua quickly began to get settled in by cultivating a plot of land after getting his little hovel built and situated and went into Sarmiz and purchased a Bed for his home so that he might rest comfortably after a hard days work and also procured tools for his farm and supplies to build pens for his animals he would buy shortly as he came to Sarmiz with a good amount of Gold Silver and Bronze Coins to begin his new life and just hoped he wasn't being to flashy with it but then again he had a Coat of Arms Hanging in his hovel and a few luxury items not normally found by poor farmers. Even the sellers at the market noticed he had a fat purse and was procuring quite a big amount of supplies for such a young new face in the area. But what did they care what this young man did as long as they got some of the coins from his purse it would make them quite happy to lighten his purse a tad and raise prices on items he wanted as they knew he probably didn't know any better anyways.

Joshua worked hard to get some of the land cultivated so that he could begin stocking his larder, for the next couple weeks he improved and cleared the area around his farm and when looked back realized he now had 3 fields cultivated. He smiled and thought yes this will do to begin with. Joshua then looked at his supplies and considered where to place his pen for a animal to raise to also help stock his larder. He realized this year he would mostly have to rely upon the Market of Sarmiz for his survival but he didnt mind as long as the price of food was reasonable and his parents stipend came every month as agreed upon until he got settled in which was a blessing.

Joshua has been feeling kind lately and decides to donate 12 bread to the Soup Kitchen as they helped him when he first arrived into the Realm of Sarmiz by making sure he had food in his belly at no cost to himself and felt it was only right to repay the favor to keep the Kitchen working and refilled a little for those that might have very few Bronze or silver coins to purchase basic bread loaf to feed themselves for either there was none to be purchased or the price was too high.

Joshua also over the past few days slaughtered his pig and gotten a 30 Meat from its carcass which made him smile as it would fill some of the empty space in the larder quite nicely and he would also be able to weather a good amount of days of cold weather without the fear of going hungry. And in turn freed his mind to concentrate on other matters that arisen concerned, and/or bothered him. He also placed jobs opening in Sarmiz for workers to work on his fields to keep production moving forward as he had to spend alot of his time working on making Sarmiz more successful by doing Labor Jobs for HRM King Cae Indru of Sarmiz. As his majesty requested and appointed him as Farming Supervisor of Sarmiz which Joshua felt as a great honor and responsibility one that he took seriously and was giving his 110% to the task asked of him.

Which left him with very little energy for anything else so he decided to hire out the farming work to those that perhaps would benefit from his generous wages or funds sent by his generous and caring parents.

Joshua continued to work on His Royal Majesties King Cae Indru of Sarmiz's projects diligently helping complete a level of Alchemists Structure and also Lvl 1 Bank of Sarmiz. It was making him quite tired but he was happy with the progress he was making in making the Realm of Sarmiz more prosperous. He was also helping breed animals with what was left of energy he had at the end of the day. Then there was the Ranch taking care of and making sure his field work was being worked on by workers. and last but not least  checking on his barrels of beer he was fermenting. It seemed that Joshua was keeping himself very busy and he would most likely have to slow down sometime before he over did it. But for now Joshua was enjoying all the hard work he was doing, and perhaps was making a name for himself in Sarmiz only time will tell.

Joshua went out and did some herbal hunting for the day and was quite happy with all that he found and returned back to Sarmiz and deposited some of the them for sale on the market to see if anyone would be interested in his goods. He hoped some were and stopped by the Hall to see how the elections were progressing.
