Camaar's next election is coming up very quickly.  I think it would benefit Camaar to have a thread available for anyone who's running to show their candidacy publicly before the elections, so here's one for ya.

Oh and if there is any need, feel free to use it to campaign, debate, criticize, whatever!  Have at it! Razz

I am running again in the election of Camaar.

I will state very briefly what I'm going to do in the next term if i'm elected. I'm just going to continue what I'm doing now, upgrade fields and structures!

I gave something to the town crier! I can read it here as well!

"Greetings fellow seekers. I’m announcing my candidature to Camaar’s leadership with the help of this town crier!

Regarding the plans for the town, these involve a total focus on the improvement of field levels, and all other things that may appear in the meanwhile and could be worth of upgrading. This is because these upgrades will make you more productive, and are in the long-run, a worthwhile investment. The investment itself allows the town to buy the excess goods we may have.

In order to do that in a quick speed, I would naturally need to increase the taxes. All the money that the town earns is returned to you, either on the purchase of goods that are needed for the upgrades, as well on the jobs posted for you to help the town, which will be posted with significant wages, for these to be worked by you on a quick fashion. Regarding on what to tax, I will decide what would be better as soon as I am in the office.

Remember we can’t have both: low taxes and quick upgrades. I’m picking the route above, and that’s mainly what you can expect from my “economic” policy.

Perhaps the bigger difference will be the constant communication with you. You will know what is being done at every moment, and what the plans to do so are. This will be done wither by private mail, or by the town crier. But you will always be informed on the most important things.

Regarding citizens of Spero, which can also vote on this one, if you see me on the leadership, you may see an increased cooperation with your town leadership, that is, we can try to provide your town with what it needs, while we may as well purchase what you have in excess. And of course, you can expect a stronger (but healthy) rivalry between towns and their achievements.

I hope you do the right thing when the time comes! Go for Harold!"

As you are implying is that Camaar is broke, it isn't There is plenty of gold reserve in the treasury and there are materials in the warehouse for fieldsupgrading. Here are prinscreens to prove it.

It all depends on the level the field is, for example the grape field for example takes 200 grapes and 10000 labour units you can work with that I believe

You also could check the offices...

https://thegraillords.forumotion.net/t416p15-farming-guide#12241

corn 5
hop 3
potato 3
vegetable 3
wheat 3
grapes 2

assuming 0,5/unit for wages
L = level
G = price of goods

((L * 100)*G) + ((L * 5000)*0,5)

Can't check the prices of the goods at the moment, but wages alone on lvl 2 grape field will take 50 silver, level 3 is 75s already if you take the low wage of 0,5

no it isn't, why would you want to chose to increase taxes while the current tax rate is working fine

It clearly is,last time we heard the treasury had 244 silver in it,one level of fields cost 50 silver in wages alone,at 0,5 a unit which is not a good wage

As is being proven with your brewery upgrade,it wont be finished anytime soon due to low wages, and i'm guessing you would need about 1 gold in labourcosts to finish within any reasonable time(AKA not 2 years)

Just giving a example,with 75%+ labour skill I do 4 unit per stam,and gain 157 stam a day,so i do 628 units/day

10,000 units/628 = 15 days if only i work on it,and i'm not going to work at 0,5,,i earn 0,75 with cows making 4 unit/stam as well,i doubt anyone will work at 0,5,keep in mind i also have the highest labour skill and a healthy amount of stam

5 people with no labour skill,100 stam each will take 20 days, but nobody would slave away for 50 bronze a day when bread costs 35 bronze (in spero at least)

edit:

basically, that money is going to run out extremely fast, not even mentioning the good costs

Well, the election is lost for me... Anyways...

Looking at the speed rate of your upgrades, I assumed I would need higher taxes, for me to able to post higher wages for people, so that they could prioritize town projects instead of their own projects, when these town projects appear.

You're full of gold and full of resources, yet I think you've made 3 upgrades in a year, 2 of them I wasn't paying too much attention because I don't even have one year as a seeker. What I know is that the brewing upgrade has been... a failure. I'm not even questioning if it is needed or not. It just doesn't move.

And, if you think the brewing upgrade is moving, then it's all said from my point of view Smile. You'd need a reality check.

So yes, higher taxes, so that everyone can be more productive in their fields in a shorter run. That's a promise I'd definitely keep! If people don't want it, as they've voted against it, fine by me. But I wouldn't give up those convictions for the sake of an election.

oh silly Karel, completely ignoring the point again are we?

Your imagination is great,so great that you see that money is worth more then it is!
3 gold? it's nothing compared to the costs, each level costs 50 silver in labour alone

Look at Spero and Axel,he pays 0,5/unit for the hop field and gets plenty of work done, why? because he offers more to his workers, potions? no problem, need something made? here are a few names, need more skill? here is a pickaxe for a cheap price and go work in the mines for a month
He knows how to properly use his resources, and yes people are resources as well

I look forward to Drew being in charge of Camaar, and oh Drew,if you need a labourer to finish the brewery contact me and we can work something out, same if you need cows
