What are some thoughts on which upgrade the Town would like to go after next?

The brewery could be upgraded, which would allow citizens of Spero to make wine. Any interested winemakers out there?

Or:

Upgrading the Cultures will give the farmers of the Town a higher harvest. With each upgrade level +2 will be added on each Harvest of the Culture.
Upgrading the Wheat Culture will cost the town 300 Wheat and takes 15000Labour Units.
We could begin collecting wheat, which would be a great benefit to future wheat harvests. One of the issues we run in Spero is a relative shortage of food on our markets. I believe field upgrades would be worth our while.

Opinions?

Hello,

I do not have any interest in the brewery or in the wheat fields, but I have a question about the fields.
This is written on the "Town Upgrades and Tax Rates" informations:
Wheat Culture is at level 3.
Town Taxation after each field cyclus: 5%.

How is this 5% tax calculated?
I think this:
The wheat culture base production: 15-20 bag
The wheat culture now on the third level

Without tax: (15...20) + 3 x 2 + (+1 for my every 10 farming skill) bag
With 0 farming skill is (21...26) bag. And the 5% is 0,05 x (21...26) = 1,05...1,3 bag wheat

So, in this situation the tax on the wheat field will be 1 or 2 bag (rounded up or down), (or maybe a totally other amount)?

If I remember correctly, field taxes always round down but must be at least 1.  So you would pay 1 until you reach the point you get 40 in a harvest, then you would pay 2.

all thing considered, we aren't too bad on food, but brewery in it's current state is fairly useless

I would go for a meal food, like vegables or potatos

Number of fields in use / upgrade level in Spero:

Corn 39            3
Hop 22             5
Potato 30          3
Vegetable 15       3
Wheat 35         3
Grapes 10          2

Now I think this included empty fields not being worked.

I am up for doing Vegetables or Potatoes next. If so, we need people farming it so the town can buy it.

300 potatos
300 veggies

30k labour points i can knock out in less then a month

So, heres my idea:
provide me a cheap pickaxe, plough and cheese curdle so i can get that honour point from bandalf and help plough the fields (sowing/harvesting i can do a whole field/day) and provide the money for the ploughing jobs

I'll provide the resources for free, seems reasonable yes?

The only one of those tools the town has is a plough, with a durability of 36.

The town is willing to buy resources from you.

So, I assume you're paying 0,5/unit?  make it 0,75/unit (for the next 2 lvl 3 upgrades)

The next upgrade looks like it's almost assuredly going to be corn. There has been very little vegetable or potato for sale, and no wheat. We already had a large stock of corn, and it is nearing 300.

Spero has:

Corn: 244
Wheat: 15
Grapes: 54
Potatoes: 22
Vegetables: 84

sadly so i think alot of the wheat went to the event just past, does corn even have a use? i know you feed it to pig and plop corn but most people are maxed mood and pigs mostly suck back potions.*witch is also why we have so few pigs they just get burned threw to fast with pig potions... do you like corn? I do think corn is somewhat useless, but I imagine at some point it may become more useful. If we get the resources for a field upgrade, we'll go for it. But I sure don't grow any in my fields.

Update on crop inventory:

Corn: 255
Wheat: 60
Grapes: 57
Potatoes: 32
Vegetables: 88

Due to the difficulty in acquiring crop resources and the market's current high prices, Spero will pay 40 bronze each for these crop resources.

In six days I will have enough potato from my fields to start our upgrade. Vegetable and Wheat should be close behind.

We are still looking for expert beds and master locks for the next hospital and bank upgrades. Details are in our announcements, located in the office.
