I bought a bed from the items store but it didn't show up in my inventory.

Sure you clicked on the chest in your Residence? You can equip it from there.

Here is what happened:
When I updated the durability of the beds, I forgot about the possible unfinished beds. All beds that were currently under construction became finished in a instant. However the beds where not placed in peoples inventories, but spread around.
It was pretty difficult to recover the original statistics from before the issue but I gave it a try.
Tunafish, your beds are in your Item Chest now, you just got a good deal from Harold

I was wondering why my grail bed went for sale on the market for 10 silver, thought maybe I been drinking too much

No your alcoholic consumption had nothing to do with this.
The 10 silver is the wage your paid for working on your bed, when I made that mistake, the work was done and the item became for sale due the placed wage.
